I can't seem to get the close up shots as sharp as I'd like to... Well, here it is - hat #2 from knitlist (no longer online!). The alternating knit and pearl rows seem to make the fabric really bouncy & it's easy to make & memorize, too.
If my stitches look twisted it's because I do combination knitting - holding the yarn in my left hand and knitting through the back of all my stitches. Only... it doesn't work if you're knitting in the round and twists the stitches. But works for this hat! It's super fast, all I have to remember is if a pattern calls for knitting in the back - I knit the 'regular' way through the front of stitches so I can follow the pattern properly.
I love it! I don't knit, but would love to learn. Any advice on teaching myself?
