I’m trying to remember the name of a children’s book, if you could help me out, I’d really appreciate it! The story, with pictures was something like this:
There’s a grandmother and it’s a hot day. She tries to sit under a tree to get shade. After a while some animals join her. I think some animals were afraid of others. As the time of the day went on, the shade grew less and they piled on… there was an elephant….
There must have been a lesson in there somewhere, about tolerating each other so they could enjoy the coolness of the shade. Probably silliness too as they all piled in.
It’s driving me a little crazy! I remember it being a charming book and reading it to my kids often – sound familiar to anyone? Well, if not, have a favorite children’s book to share?
Granny, Let Me In by Jill Barnes, Wakiko Sato
I have read a lot of children's book but not this one. I enjoy the illustrations more than the stories.
